About

I am a web Developer that’s new to the world of software. During my journey with Actualize I have learned how fun but challenging coding can be. I have had the opportunity to experience various industries, with much of it being highly collaborative.

As an adult, I found employment in the service industry where I found my love for a fast paced environment and the community running it. Although I no longer work in a kitchen full time, I still find time to help friends when they have a last minute call out. As of right now, I am working as a Draftsman designing mechanical parts for the U.S. Navy. As a draftsman I honed my attention for detail and my fondness for problem solving.

With the different experiences I have had, I am now looking to make a career transition to web development.

Portfolio

Capstone Project: personally built a web app that allows climbers to find new belay partners in their area. Users have the ability to use chat functions to communicate with one another and to find new climbing friends with similar skill sets. Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APIs were used to implement the different features. Click here to check it out.

Bold Angel Productions: in the process of building a web app that showcases a professional photographer's portfolio. The photographer will have the ability to update their photos, personal information and links. This app is being built with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APIs.

Rate My Professor app: built a web app using pair-programming that allows individuals write reviews for professors at different schools. Created using Node.js, Express, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git, and Github.
